This week, we have finished off our ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ topic by writing letters to some of the characters. Some children wrote to Jack and told him off for stealing the harp and the hen. Others wrote to the Giant, either telling him off for shouting or to apologise for stealing. A few children even decided to write to Jack’s mum!

The children are very proud of their writing and it has been wonderful to see their phonics skills coming to fruition.

This week, we have been consolidating our understanding of how to order numbers. We played games where the children needed to recognise numbers, count forwards, order the numbers and then identify mistakes in number lines.
The most popular activity was threading numbers beads onto the strings in the right order!

After planting our beans last week, we have been busy learning about the different parts of a plant. We made our own plant pictures and labelled them.
