Our Vision
At the centre of our school vision is the message from John 10:10, where Jesus teaches that he came so that everyone may have life—Life in all its Fullness. We share this message with our children as an invitation to grow into the best version of themselves: joyful, kind, confident, resilient and ready to flourish. It reminds every member of our community that they are valued, have purpose and are capable of great things.
This vision guides everything we do at Ashleigh C of E Primary School. Through our warm, inclusive environment and our commitment to nurturing the whole child, we encourage pupils to develop the qualities and values that help them live a full and flourishing life. Our core values shape this journey:
Respect
Children learn to appreciate others, celebrate differences and treat everyone with dignity. They practise respect through teamwork, listening well, looking after our school environment and showing gratitude.
Compassion

Pupils are encouraged to be empathetic and caring, recognising when others need help and offering kindness. Through daily interactions, playground friendships and community projects, they learn the importance of noticing and responding with love.
Service

Children develop a desire to help others and contribute positively to our school community. Whether through leadership roles, acts of helpfulness or participating in fundraising events, they learn that small actions can make a big difference.
Hope
We nurture a sense of optimism, encouraging pupils to look forward with positivity even when things feel challenging. They build hope by setting goals, celebrating progress and believing in their own ability to grow.
Aspiration
Pupils are inspired to dream big and challenge themselves. In lessons, clubs and wider opportunities, they learn that aspiration involves effort, perseverance and pride in their achievements.
Forgiveness
Children learn that mistakes are opportunities for growth. By practising saying sorry, offering forgiveness and restoring relationships, they develop emotional maturity and compassion for themselves and others.
Across these pages, you will see how our ethos—“Learning to love, loving to learn – life in all its fullness” (John 10:10)—is woven into daily life at Ashleigh. It shapes the aspirations of our pupils, our staff and our whole school family, guiding us as we help every child to flourish academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
