What a fantastic start to the new school year! It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to class and see them settle so quickly into their learning.

Over the past week, we have focused on establishing and consolidating our classroom routines and expectations. The children have worked incredibly hard to ensure that our classroom is a calm, organised and positive place to learn, and we are very proud of the mature attitude they have shown.

In Art, we have enjoyed creating self-portraits, carefully observing our features and experimenting with different painting techniques. These have provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to express their individuality and creativity. Next, we will begin our exciting unit of study exploring the work of the renowned artist, inventor and scientist Leonardo da Vinci, and we look forward to being inspired by his remarkable achievements.

We are excited for the term ahead and all the learning opportunities it will bring!
