Learning to Love; Loving to Learn - Life in all its Fullness

Respect

Hope

Dear Parents and Carers,

Here we are celebrating another busy week at our wonderful school!

A heartfelt thank you to all our parents, carers and pupils for your generosity and enthusiasm during Red Nose Day last week. We are delighted to share that we raised £71.09, and this wonderful contribution will go towards supporting a very good cause. Your kindness really does make a difference - thank you for helping us spread hope and positivity.

Some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils enjoyed a wonderful visit to Silver Hill Care Home today, where they took part in a range of art activities with residents. Their behaviour was exemplary, and it was fantastic to see the smiles and joy shared across generations during their time together.

A huge congratulations to our wonderful kitchen team for achieving a 5★ rating in the recent Environmental Health Inspection! This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of their consistently high standards. Well done to Christine, Matt and Julie - we truly appreciate your hard work, your care for our children, and, of course, your delicious food. Thank you for everything you do to keep our school running so smoothly.
Just a reminder that the last day of school before the Easter break is Thursday 2nd April 2026. We hope you all enjoy a restful holiday, and we look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 20th April 2026.

Warm regards,
The School Team

Collective Worship this week...

This week in worship, we explored Jesus’ story of the wise and foolish builders - one who built his house on solid rock, and one who built on sand. When storms came, only the house with strong foundations stood firm.

We linked this story to learning and the idea that education gives children the strong foundations they need for life - knowledge, skills, values, confidence, and resilience. Just as a house needs solid ground, children need these foundations to face challenges and grow with hope.

We reflected on questions such as:

  • What helped the wise builder’s house stay strong?
  • What foundations are we building in school?
  • How does our learning today help us in the future?

Children were invited to think about the “foundations” they want to focus on this week - kindness, effort, curiosity, or focus - and could write prayers of hope to add to our prayer tree,.

STARS THIS WEEK

Here are the children who have been shining by showing our church value of HOPE this week ...

Hope

But those who hope in

the Lord will renew their

strength

Ash 2: KALLI-ROSE

This week, we are awarding our star to Kalli-Rose who always shares her hopeful attitude across our setting. She is the first person to celebrate her friends.

Rayner: ISABELLE

Isabelle is my star of the week this week. She has shown a hopeful attitude to all aspects of her work and this is having pleasing results.

Percival: MICAH

Micah has shown a hopeful attitude towards his learning this week, which has enabled him to try his absolute best across the subjects. Well done Micah!

Duffy: ZIVA

Ziva shows a lot of hope for creation and humankind. She talks knowledgeably about the world around us and the importance of caring for it and can identify strong reasons as to why we should care for God's creation and each other. A true vision of better things to come.

Farook: JEFRIN

It was noted when we were looking through our books how much progress you have made - it fills me with so much hope to think of where you could go next. Well done, Jefrin!

Evans: LOGAN

This week our star is Logan. Logan listens attentively in every single lesson, every day and always shows that he wants to be the best that he can be. Logan is such a role model of hope, generosity of spirit and kindness in our class. Well done Logan!

Shakespeare: NORAH

She's had such a tricky time recently, but she has not let it stop her at all! She has had to miss out on events and outside time, but she hasn't moaned once.

Prefects: REMI

He has been respectful and showing great hope towards his learning.

Special Award: KAZ

This award goes to Kaz for being such a great role model during the Forest School sessions over the last few weeks with the younger children.
