Learning to Love; Loving to Learn - Life in all its Fullness

Respect

Compassion

Service

Hope

Aspiration

Forgiveness

Dear Parents and Carers,

Spring has arrived in school, and we have had a busy and exciting few weeks. Some of the children have been exploring the season through planting seeds and caring for their growing plants, learning all about how things change and grow at this time of year.

Alongside this, the school has been full of Easter celebrations, from creating beautiful Easter cards to learning about and celebrating the Easter story. We also enjoyed coming together for our school Easter church service, which was a special occasion for our whole school community.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our Ethos Team for leading worship with such thoughtfulness, to the choir for their beautiful singing, and to Mrs Mitchell for her careful planning and preparation. We are also very grateful to our church community for so warmly welcoming us and supporting us as we worshipped together.

To mark the end of our Easter celebrations, the children will be coming home with a couple of special gifts. Each child will receive an Easter story book and a palm cross kindly given by Holy Trinity Church, as well as an Easter treat generously provided by our PTFA. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to both Holy Trinity Church and the PTFA for their kindness and generosity in making Easter even more special for our children.

Just a reminder that this is the last day of school before the Easter break.  We hope you all enjoy a restful holiday, and we look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 20th April 2026.

Warm regards,
The School Team

Collective Worship this week...

This week, our Collective Worships have focused on preparing for our Easter Church Service, celebrating the hope at the heart of the Easter story. As we reflected on Jesus’ resurrection, we were reminded that Easter is a message of new beginnings, light after darkness, and hope that carries us through even the most challenging times.

“He is not here; he has risen!” (Luke 24:6)

These words remind us that Easter brings hope that is alive, lasting, and meant to be shared.

Questions of reflection:

  • What does hope mean to us as a family?
  • How does the Easter story help us when we feel worried or unsure?
  • Where have we seen new beginnings or signs of hope recently?
  • How can we share hope and kindness with others this week?

As we continue through the Easter season, may the message of hope encourage us both in school and at home.

STARS THIS WEEK

Here are the children who have been shining by showing our church value of HOPE this week ...

Hope

But those who hope in

the Lord will renew their

strength

Ash 2:  ISABELLA & HUBERT

This week, we are awarding two stars!

We are celebrating Isabella for the hope that she shows in her own learning and self‑improvement. She has demonstrated positive belief in herself, even when the learning feels challenging, and keeps trying to do better each time.

Our second star is for Hubert for the hope he has shown in improving his learning behaviours. His determination to listen, stay focused, and learn from feedback shows a hopeful and mature attitude towards his learning.

Rayner: NAMI

My star this week goes to Nami for her positive and hopeful attitude towards learning. Nami is displaying such a great attitude t her phonics learning and is a great role model in the group for having a go.

Percival: XAVIER

Xavier is our star of the week due to his consistent hopeful attitude towards his own learning and friendships with his peers. We have seen a very positive difference in Xavier recently, well done!

Duffy:  VALENTINA

Valentina radiates hope every day, greeting others with a warm smile and an unwavering positive attitude. She consistently show kindness, supporting both staff and classmates with genuine care. Her resilience and optimism make her truly deserving of this star.

Farook: DARCIE J & CHASE

Darcie and Chase are the well-deserved recipients of our hope stars.  They have both been working with Miss Rippon and Miss Bull who would like to see them recognised for their resilience and hope in their learning.  Well done both of you!

Evans: ANGELINE & FINLEY

This week Angeline and Finley are our stars. This term they have been working hard with Miss Rippon and Miss Bull who are very proud of all they have done. Well done!

Shakespeare: WILLIAM & IVAN

I couldn't choose one without the other as I'm just so grateful to teach these boys! The way they conducted themselves at the football event yesterday was just one of the shining examples of their kindness. They are strong, determined, yet very compassionate. Thank you boys! Amazing.

Prefects: JUVAN

We have chosen Juvan to receive the hope award as he is a helpful member of Ashleigh and has grown so much in confidence.
