Learning to Love; Loving to Learn - Life in all its Fullness

Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had a wonderful week at school!
It has been fantastic to see our children settling so positively into their new classes and routines this term. Across the school, pupils have been working hard to learn and embed our expectations, creating calm, purposeful learning environments where everyone can thrive.
We have been particularly pleased with the improvements at lunchtime. The playground has felt calmer and more organised, thanks in no small part to the incredible efforts of our Lunchtime Play Leaders. They have done a fantastic job helping to organise games and activities, supporting younger pupils and ensuring that everyone has opportunities to play, socialise and enjoy their break times.
Thank you to our Lunchtime Play Leaders for being such positive role models and to all of our pupils for showing kindness, respect and responsibility as they continue to make such a positive start to the year.
Warm regards,
The School Team

Here is what we've been learning about this week in Collective Worship ... |
This week in Collective Worship, we explored the big question: What are our needs? Children thought carefully about what people need not only to survive, but also to thrive and live happy, fulfilling lives.

Talk together
What do we need to survive? What helps us feel safe, healthy, loved and accepted?
Do all people around the world have these needs met?
Reflect
Take a moment to think about the things you are thankful for that help you feel safe, cared for and happy.
Try this week
Choose one thing you are grateful for and find a way to take extra care of it this week.
You could:
Tidy and look after a special belonging.Help care for your home or garden.
Thank someone who helps you feel safe, loved or supported.
Donate an item, food or time to help someone in need.
By recognising our own needs and caring for others, we can help build a kinder and more compassionate community.
|
Here are the children who have been shining by showing our church value of RESPECT this week ... |

Show respect to everyone,
love other believers, and
honour authority
Ash 2: DOTTY-ROSE
Dotty-Rose has truly impressed us with the kindness, care and respect she shows to everyone around her.
She is always looking for ways to help others and is often the first to notice when a job needs doing.
Dotty-Rose is a wonderful role model in our classroom, and we are so grateful for her thoughtful
and helpful nature.
Thank you, Dotty-Rose. We would be lost without you!
Rayner: HUBERT
This week, we are celebrating Hubert for showing excellent respect for himself through his learning.
Hubert has worked hard to stay focused during lessons and has consistently completed his work to
the very best of his ability. He has shown determination, resilience and pride in everything he does.
We are very proud of the effort he has put into his learning and the positive example he sets for others.
Well done, Hubert!
Jha: ROSIE, ALEC, AVA, IRIS, SOPHIA B and GRIFFIN
These 6 children have not needed to be reminded about showing respect and what that
looks like at all this week. Well done Guys. Class role models.
Duffy: CJ
CJ is always helpful and polite to children and staff.
He always tries his best and if he makes a mistake he apologises and makes it right.
Farook: NATHANIEL and CLEO
Nathaniel has been showing so much respect for his learning books, he is working extremely hard on
ensuring his handwriting is as neat as possible. It is lovely to see the joy and pride he takes in his work.
Cleo has been an absolute gem to have in Farook Class - she just oozes enthusiasm and
she is respectful always. Thank you, Cleo for everything you do for yourself and for Team Farook.
Everyone needs a Cleo!
Evans: JAYDON
Jaydon is my star this week.
He is incredibly helpful and had developed a phenomenal way of solving little things
around the classroom respectful and without disturbing anyone or his own learning.
Well done Jay!
Shakespeare: FRANKIE
Frankie is my star this week. She is always respectful, kind to others, her learning behaviours
are impeccable and I am so glad she is one of our prefects!
What a great young person to have on the team!
Prefects: NAMI
Nami is our star this week because she reads beautifully, she shows respect
and she is so happy to be at school.
