We’ve had a wonderful week at school!

One of the most important factors in helping children thrive is regular attendance. Every day in school provides valuable opportunities for learning, friendship, confidence-building and personal development. By attending school every day and arriving on time, children give themselves the very best chance to flourish.

We have recently refreshed the Attendance section of our website, where you will find practical advice for families, information about term-time leave and penalty notices, as well as a range of helpful videos and resources to support good attendance.

Most importantly, if you have any worries about your child's attendance, wellbeing, anxiety about school, medical needs or any other barrier to attending, please come and talk to us. We are here to help and would much rather work with families early to provide support and find solutions together.

Collective Worship this week...

This week’s collective worship focused on our value of Respect and how we can care for God’s world through sustainability. The children learned that being sustainable means using and protecting resources wisely so that they will be available for future generations.

We explored the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and discussed how showing respect for people, animals, and the environment helps God's creation to flourish.

Talk Together

What does it mean to respect God's creation?
Why is it important to look after our world for future generations?
What small changes can we make to help care for our planet?

Reflect

How can I show respect for people, animals, and the environment through my daily actions?

Try This Week

Choose one way to show respect for God's world each day. You could recycle, turn off lights when you leave a room, save water, tidy up litter, or help care for plants and wildlife in your local area.

Ash 2: SIBERIUS

Siberius has made a fantastic start to the new school year, and has impressed all of the adults with how helpful and kind he has been to our new starters. Thank you, Siberius.

Rayner: NEVA

Neva has started the school year with such as positive attitude to all her learning. She is showing respect to both adults and children alike by following all the classroom rules. What a great way to begin year 1!

Jha: LOGAN I.

Logan has without fault maintained high levels of respect this week to staff and peers. This week he has shown Service and Hope too.

Duffy: ADEN and TILLY

This week it was so difficult to chose as so many children came back with perfect 'Ashleigh manner' Aden and Tilly have stood out by quietly helping others around them, modelling great listening behaviour and showing self resect by trying their best in every lesson.

Farook: ELIJAH

Wow! Wow! Wow! Elijah, you have returned with the most incredible attitude. You make an outstanding role model for our class with the respect you show to others. Thank you!

Evans: MAISY T.

This was such a hard choice but Maisy has stood out for me this week, coming back to school with the most amazing attitude to school, teaching groups, and all the things that Year 6 brings.

Shakespeare: ARI

Ari is my star this week. He has started year 6 incredibly well and I'm so proud of him! We are very lucky to have him in Shakespeare!

Prefects: MAISIE K.

Maisie gets the prefect star this week for her amazing attitude.

Thursday 17th September will not be Vegan Sausage Roll but instead Sweet Halloumi Wraps with Potato Wedges
